Arthur Edelstein passed away late in the summer of 2003. He spent
most of his life teaching, and, particularly during his last two decades,
encouraging fiction writers to perfect and value their craft. Those
of us who knew him and studied under him, benefited not only from
his knowledge, but from his patience and his humanity.
